Competition Information
Over the past few years our club has moved away from the standard points scoring system and species list and decided to focus on sustainable spearfishing focussing on quality fish.
What this means is competitors can only weigh a maximum of 3 fish of each species over the competition year. There for you can target pelagic species in summer without having to spend time chasing common species like Luderick which are available all year round.
Our new bonus points system also encourages divers to target quality fish.
For example you could shoot 3 bream in one competition or wait hoping you'll catch larger 1kg fish in later competitions and recieve *50 bonus points per fish.
Or if you shoot 3 Amberjack over the year you will be awarded
** 100 bonus points.
We have kept some of the easier fish to spear for C Grade and Juniors. These fish are shown with ****
All fish must be within size and number limits of NSW fisheries laws.
